ELM asked over 3 years agoThe Harding Avenue project will provide an un-interrupted sidewalk from Windsor Hills apartments to the Apartment Heights apartments where existing sidewalk is continuous to Harding Avenue Elementary. There will be high visibility crosswalks at street crossings, several high visibility crosswalks to safely cross Harding Avenue, and some traffic calming measures to slow down traffic.

Share Dear Town Engineers, Why are the builders allowed to block one lane of Patrick Henry Dr. between Main street and Tom's Creek even when not using the space (e.g., evenings and weekends)? Blocking the lane forces all traffic into one lane and is unsafe for cyclists. Would it not be reasonable to take the cones and barriers down and open the lane for the weekend? Whenever I go past the only use of the blocked lane is for parking private worker vehicles. on Facebook Share Dear Town Engineers, Why are the builders allowed to block one lane of Patrick Henry Dr. between Main street and Tom's Creek even when not using the space (e.g., evenings and weekends)? Citizen asked over 3 years agoThe Contractor on Patrick Henry Drive has an approved Temporary Road Closure permit with the Engineering Department. We apologize for the inconvenience. It is anticipated that work in this area will be completed shortly and the road should be back open in the next few weeks.
