What is an invasive species?
An invasive species is an organism, in this case; plants, that is not native to a particular area and causes harm to the new environment. Invasive species can affect habitats and bioregions, causing ecological, environmental, and/or economic damage.
Which invasive species are being removed from Heritage Park?
Much of the invasive plants being removed are Autumn Olive, Privet and Multiflora Rose.
